Nowadays, computer has become so important that we might try to use its abilities outside the virtual world: We may wish we

could use Ctrl+z to undo mistakes in real life, or find something by using ctrl+f . When a dialogue from a film comes to mind but we do not remember which film it was, we might wish it was possible to search the narrations of films.

Austrian artist, Julian Palascz, has created such an opportunity allowing the spectators to enjoy a new experience in Mohsen Gallery in Tehran. He has devised a search engine where one can enter a text to search Julian’s personal film and video database for a dialogue. An individual collection of films thus becomes a database of keywords and every spoken word or phrase in the archive becomes searchable. It is an interactive artwork that is completed by the spectator. On the other hand, it is an example of new born connection between art, mathematics and computer programming.
