Woman…Orient…Money.

Some trade commodity, some their images.

These days crying, enslavement, madness, broom, frying pan, and Iranian woman’s iron sell well. The customer pays in cash.

There are many young painters who do not fall in the trap of the Friday market of Iranian painting and do what they should, from an early age. Some even try to fight. For me, Sarvenaz Zolfaghar is among painters whom I will admire more in the future. She is one of those artists whom form captures not, whom gallery owners capture not. Artists who say what they want to say and at the time of fighting, they know how to stand against the wind in such a way that dirt does not go into their eyes; artists who do not find a chance to exhibit their work; artists whom I admire.
