The Iranian traditional architecture is well-matched with these two women kissing, hidden and imprisoned behind walls without any windows. It is a grotesque and at the same time it isn’t but the result turns out to be a good work of art. Our Iranian abstract architectural patters are properly stamped on these women’s bodies. I liked this work because contrary to other pieces in the exhibition, it refers only to what it should refer to while preserving its aesthetic qualities. An event is also noticeable in the picture: a kiss. A kiss which, despite the happy expression on women’s faces, is a grimace to the place they are in or a part of it, a place made perhaps for anything but such kisses.
