Abstraction is a joyful game to us, in itself, for an art which is thought in our worldly and subjective geography, produced, presented, seen, propagated, bought. Turns into fashion. Becomes insipid.
When a form, a concept, an ‘anything else’, is played with for too long, this is not good.
Sometimes we are closing the viewer’s eyes as fast as possible. His legs too. Sometimes the artist is careless and does not take it seriously. You feel it. It is an insistence on nothing. Form. Technique. Narrative. No. It is only an insistence on being a painter. Being a painting.
